Great place...love the food for vegans & vegetarians

The food is very good, but they can work on customer service training for the cashiers. The older lady thats work the front is so respectful, the other short lady that younger is ghetto and have bad customer service and need much needed training. She was speaking to the older gentleman that came to order for rudely. And it kept happening with different customers.

The best vegan food ever...even for meat-eaters! The beef and broccoli gets 10 stars!

Sandwiches - VERY good! Food that should be hot or at the very least warm, was COLD, this I included the soup, yams and rice. Check your food before you leave to ensure it hot. Then you can accurately judge how good you believe it taste.

Best vegan fried chicken and mac and cheese plate I have EVER HAD!!! Please please please bring this excellence to NYC. Philly cheese steak was amazing too. I'm just sad I wasn't in town to come sit down for three brunch sittings. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING FOOD.

Pleasant people, tight space so plan to order and go.I read the reviews before going so I was eager and scared to try the fried chicken. Nearly all reviews said it was great and one said it was greasy and flavorless. Flavorless...yes.. I didn't find it to be greasy though. It did have a crunchy exterior with seasoning but inside lacked flavor. The shrimp was good but there is nothing lemon about it.the mumbo sauce helped me eat all the chicken. I'm from New Orleans so neither the greens or Mac n chz impressed me. The yams were different and flavorful. The plantains were on point.the cornbread has a cake like taste die to sweetness but tasty.My husband....the real meat eater enjoyed both the shrimp and the chicken and definitely the cornbread bc he likes sweets.

This food is the best vegan food I’ve had thus far in the DMV. All their vegan seafoods are incredible taste, texture, and presentation! Amazing job 100/100

This place has a great menu. Excellent waffles and pancakes on Sunday. I dined in but I don't think there's a lot of seating available, but they package your order in a way so it's very easy to get it take out. I will probably be back frequently picking up to go orders and trying the rest of the menu- everything looks great!

All vegie food , my fav jerk chiken, but they have it some days I dont get it. Customer service is not really good with only one sad girl . I was happy when they tried another one happy.

I used to love this place, and while I still enjoy the food and recommend it to friends and co-workers they've messed up my order a few times and some of the newer staff could use better customer service training.That said, some of their food is incredible and if you're looking for the best vegan options in DC, Senbeb is absolutely one of them.Recommend: Jerk chicken, chickpea stew, the yams, and their whoopie pies.

The food here is superb and the variety they offer is so downhome. The hostesses are delightful and always ready to lift you up with their smiles and relaxed attitudes. They have such a broad menu that you will find something to caress your palate. I love it all. The Kale and Yams and the Cheese Steak Sub, the Drum Styx, the Cajun Fried Chicken, the mixed Greens, Potato Salad, Chicken Salad and on and on. HMMMMM Delicious!!All vegetarian!

Been there for numerous times

Mediocre food and even worse customer service. I was overcharged for an item online on the service they partner with, Postmates. Instead of making it right all I received was a rude phone call from the restaurant that I should not bother Senbeb since the price was wrong on a partner website.

Ordered 2 "steak and cheese" all the way for my meat eating children. We loved loved loved it'. My children did not believe it was vegan. It was beyond superb!!!! The energy is the Cafe was welcoming and inviting!

Been coming here for years. It's just good vegan soul food. Sometimes the waits can be a little long but the food is worth it. I recommend: the mac and cheese, yams, the drumsticks, and mixed greens.

This place is a real gem! Such a warm vibe upon walking in, and exceptional service. The food is cooked with love, and you can taste it. I had the vegan crab cakes with collards and plantains. Will definitely be coming back!

I went in today and purchased the crispy cajun sandwich and a side of lentil soup. I opened up the sandwich wrapper and it smelled amazing, it looked great, but when I took a bite, I experienced a moist, flavor-less patty. The patty is made of layers of what appears to be thinly sliced seitan but its absolutely band!! I wanted this to be delicious but the seasoning was absent. I had the lentil soup which was fine and had notes of coconut milk. Maybe it's just the sandwich and everything else is great; I won't find out.

I love the chickpeas and spinach stew. Its curried so it has a lot of flavor. Their veggie egg roll is great as well.

AH-MAZING FOOD! The customer service was great, friendly folks. I ordered the crabcakes, mixed greens, plantains, and a lemon/ginger tea. The food was perfectly seasoned. The crabcakes we're crisp on the outside and surprisingly light and moist on the inside. Hot plantains and the mixed greens weren't cooked to death. The lemon ginger tea was light and refreshing. This is BY FAR THE BEST VEGAN SPOT IN DC!!!!

Delicious vegan dishes !!! Very well seasoned and good portions as well as reasonable price. Their logo is a very attractive Egyptian looking art of a woman holding a fruit basket( if I remember correctly) which shows their values. The women were very nice and welcoming. They were out of few things but all the dishes and sides were delicious.

My whole house just awoke from a prolonged food coma. We don't know how long it's been or what happened to us, but what's clear is that this food shook the very foundations of our world. Please order from here immediately. Every dish was fresh and delicious. The absolute greatest things were the drumsticks, Asian style beef, egg rolls, fried chicken, chicken salad and steak and cheese. All of the side dishes were outstanding. We got plenty of sauces, extra corn bread, extra cake and banana bread. It's safe to say that we're all thoroughly shocked and need time to recover. This has gotta be my absolute favorite vegan restaurant ever!!! I love every item on the menu, but the crab cakes are my favorite. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting.
